Boat & yacht charters · Greece
How much should you tip a yacht crew in Greece?
Short answer
5–10% of the charter fee
5–10% of the charter price, split among the crew.
CommonCash preferred
On a crewed yacht or catamaran charter, 5–10% of the base charter fee at the end of the week is the widely used range in the Greek islands, handed to the skipper to share with the crew. On a bareboat charter there is no crew to tip. For a day boat trip, €5–10 per person to the skipper is plenty.
In practice
- A €6,000 week-long crewed charter → €300–600 for the crew
