Do you tip taxi drivers in Italy?
Short answer
Round up to the nearest euro
Round up. Nothing else is expected.
OptionalCash preferred
Italian taxi fares already include supplements for luggage, night trips and airport runs, and drivers do not expect a percentage on top. Round the fare up, or add €2–3 if the driver has carried heavy bags.
