Do you tip housekeeping in Mexico?
Short answer
$20–100 MXN per night
20–100 pesos a night, left daily.
CommonCash preferred
Housekeeping tips are genuinely expected in Mexican hotels and resorts, and staff rotate between rooms, so leave it each day rather than at the end. Leave it somewhere obvious with a note so it isn't mistaken for forgotten money.
In practice
- Four nights → $80–400 MXN
- A week at a resort → $140–700 MXN, left daily rather than at checkout
