Do you tip in Turkey?

Tipping — bahşiş — is common and appreciated. Turks tip modestly and routinely. Five to ten percent in restaurants, small notes for porters and guides, and rounding up for taxis is the shape of it. Cash is strongly preferred, and tips matter more than usual because inflation has eroded service wages.

How much do you tip at a restaurant in Turkey?

5–10%. 5–10% in cash, left on the table. Five percent is the everyday norm and 10% marks genuinely good service at a nicer restaurant. Leave it in cash rather than adding it to the card. A lokanta or street vendor needs nothing beyond rounding up.
