Do you tip bartenders in United Kingdom?
Short answer
Not expected
You do not tip at a British pub.
Not expected
Tipping bar staff is genuinely not done in the UK. The traditional gesture is to offer to buy the bartender a drink, 'and one for yourself', which adds the price of a half to your round. Cocktail bars in London are the one place where 10% or a pound a drink has crept in.
